My mother-in-law made me a colorful new mask!

So, the Wisconsin Supreme Court decided today that Governor Evers and the DHHS Secretary overstepped their authority with this last "Safer at Home" set of rules. Naturally, all the bars are open and full.

The actions of the Supreme Court have absolutely no bearing on the actions of the coronavirus, so buckle up folks, we could be in for a wild ride! Brown County is currently experiencing an outbreak of Covid-19, so their County Health Officer has reinstated the Safer At Home rule for just that county. We'll see what other counties do.

What does this mean for the rest of us? It shouldn't change what we do at all. For our own protection, but, mostly for the protection of our loved ones and neighbors, we need to continue our social distancing, limit trips out of the home, wear masks, wash hands, and use hand sanitizers.

I have been reminded as I watch what is going on and as I've listened to our pastor's "Quaran-Talks" about the importance of loving others through this pandemic. Jesus tells us that the Greatest Commandment is to love others as we love ourselves. In the parable of the sheep and the goats, Jesus reminds us that we are to love others by feeding the hungry, giving drink to the thirsty, tending the sick, and visiting those in prison.

We do social distancing as a demonstration of our love. Yes, they do help protect us, but we know that wearing a mask protects other people far more than the mask wearer. We'd all like to go back to church, but we're sticking to online services to protect people's health. Please keep up the habits you've developed over the last couple of months. They've been working. Wisconsin has only had a couple of hot spots. We'll get testing and tracking capability eventually, and then we can lift our restrictions even more.

In other news, the barometric pressure is dropping and I have a migraine!! But, our library is doing curbside pick-up, so I have more reading material than I know what to do with. More on that in a later post.

Hang in there!! Wear masks! Wash your hands! Don't go to bars! Be safe!
